LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity Projects
Between 1992 and 2010, LIFE has co-financed over 1 100 projects that improve the conservation status of endangered species and habitats and contribute to halting the loss of biodiversity, and a new call for new proposals is launched every year. You can find out all about these projects on the LIFE web site. In particular you can:
consult the 20 LIFE Nature thematic publications which highlights particularly successful projects on specific topics such as wetlands, grasslands, forests, marine, birds, plants, invasive alien species, military sites or communicating Natura 2000.
consult the thematic pages dedicated to coasts, seas and fisheries, forests, grasslands, scrublands and bogs, rivers and lakes, wetlands, and animal and plant species, which provides information on the recent and on-going projects in each theme, grouped by sub theme (e.g. wetland projects are divided into coastal wetlands, bogs, Mediterranean wetlands, etc) .
consult the LIFE project database, which contains detailed information on every LIFE project and allows you to search by country, year, theme, keyword, species, habitats or Natura 2000 site.
